Looty Bay has 47 safes across its shops, hotels and houses. 32 of them are drilled open, 14 need their own key, and 1 opens with a lockpick or by force.
One Mini Drill opens every drillable safe: 29 easy safes take 60 seconds, and the 3 bank safes take 120.
The big Drill only opens the bank’s vault door. You don’t need it for any safe.
A lockpick can’t open a drillable safe, and a cop can pull a running drill out in 4 seconds.
What opens a safe in ROB RUN?
It depends on the safe. Most shop and hotel safes are drillable: you set a Mini Drill on the door, which takes 2 seconds, and it runs for 60 seconds on an easy safe or 120 on a hard one. The game also has a 90-second medium tier, but no safe in Looty Bay uses it. Other safes are keyed, and only their own Safe Key opens them in a second or less. One wall safe in the Elite Cottage has no key and no drill tier, so you break it open or pick it.
A placed drill can be taken. A cop who reaches a running drill pulls it out in 4 seconds. Whether you get the drill back afterward isn’t in the game data, so the starter kits list one drill per safe as a precaution, even though one is enough to start.
Where is every safe in Looty Bay?
Each row links to the location’s starter kit. Keyed safes link to the key that opens them.
The Mini Drill, for every safe. The full-size Drill fits one lock in the whole city: the Drill sets up on the bank vault door in 5 seconds and opens it after 60. If you’re planning the bank, read the bank heist breakdown.
The laptop sells the Mini Drill for 18,000 cash, from Tier 2. No shop sells the Drill, so you make it with a barter recipe.
