Key takeaways
- With no vest, the SR Reaper downs a player fastest: 0.4 s up close.
- Through a Heavy vest, the AP Scalar is fastest at 0.84 s.
- Range changes the order. The AP Scalar Mk1 takes 0.84 s through Heavy up close and 3.98 s at 60 m, where the SR Reaper Mk1 is fastest at 0.88 s.
- Shotguns are ranked by pellet hits needed, because not every pellet in a shot lands.
Which gun downs a player fastest in ROB RUN?
Up close, with every bullet hitting the body: the SR Reaper against a player with no vest (0.4 s), and the AP Scalar through a Heavy vest (0.84 s). Time to down runs from your first hit to the hit that takes a player from 100 health to 0, firing as fast as the gun allows. A player at 0 health is knocked out, so this counts time to down. When a magazine runs dry before that, the reload time is added.
The fastest of each type through a Heavy vest: SMGs: AP Scalar Mk1 at 0.84 s; assault rifles: SR Reaper Mk1 at 0.88 s; handguns: Vulture 50 Mk1 at 1.25 s.
Every weapon, ranked through a Heavy vest

How do shotguns compare?
A shotgun fires 8 pellets, and each pellet loses damage with distance on its own. How many land depends on spread and range, so the table counts pellet hits instead of time. Shotgun damage drops off fast, so these numbers are for close range.
| Shotgun | Damage per pellet | Pellet hits, no vest | Pellet hits, Heavy vest |

What isn’t counted
Head shots. The game’s tooltip shows head damage at 1.5 times body damage, but the game data doesn’t say whether vests cover the head, so the times here are body hits only. Missed shots, recoil and movement aren’t counted either. The weapon stats table sorts every gun by time to down, each weapon page shows it at four distances, and the comparison tool puts two side by side. The Bastion vs Heavy breakdown covers the vest side of the fight.
